For Oscar the ginger cat, his friendship was Dexter the Pit Bull was the best thing in his life. Buy when Dexter unexpectedly passed away following a serious illness, poor Oscar was consumed with grief. There was a huge void left in his life that he didn’t know how to fill.

Oscar’s family was forced to acknowledge the tangible repercussions of Dexter’s demise on the cat’s health. Oscar’s struggles with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) returned with a vengeance and his health was soon on a sharp decline, all because he missed his doggie buddy too much and was emotionally stressed all the time.

Seeing Oscar’s fading will to live, his family contemplated adopting a new furry companion. That’s when they heard about Jude, a frail Pit Bull puppy with juvenile bone disease. Jude was blind and had spinal deformities, so the family adopted him in hopes of giving him a better life.

In spite of his many physical problems, Jude surprised everyone by his fantastic spark for life. He was a master navigator who never slowed down. With his happy-go-lucky and always-on-the-go personality, it was only a matter of time before the heartbroken Oscar was forced to take notice of him!

While Jude was an absolute goofball with other dogs, he somehow knew the depressed little Oscar was suffering a different kind of pain. He not only embraced the cat with his comforting love, but gradually enabled him to break free from the shackles of his overwhelming grief.

Today, it has been over 6 months since Jude entered Oscar’s life, and the duo has become each other’s sanctuary. What a touching miracle! This differently-abled boy’s healing powers and upbeat outlook has certainly infused everyone with a rare perspective about living life to the fullest, against all odds!
