On a Christmas weekend in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Pia was strolling down the street when she came upon a tiny and emaciated dog, abandoned and covered in sores all over, submissively hoping to die. She knew she had to assist him right away.

The dog was so feeble that it appeared he wouldn’t survive the night. Pia sobbed as she carried the immobile dog to the veterinarian, and she rushed away. But the dog’s spirit had already been broken by abandonment at this point. He showed no reaction to any treatment, and his lifeless eyes betrayed a demeanor of defeat.
Pia, on the other hand, was not ready to give up. She stayed by the dog’s side for the next 48 hours, encouraging him to eat and drink and cling to life with all her might. Pia’s heartfelt pleas were answered when, on Christmas Day, the dog renewed his desire to live!

Pia decided she would never give up Hercules. Hercules’ fur has recovered, and he now spends his days being the happiest dog with his mom Pia, thanks to Pia’s love and belief. We applaud Pia’s dedication and faith that allowed Hercules to emerge as a remarkable survivor!
