Mr. Snufflufugus is a five-year-old man who was recently abandoned and forced to fend for himself on the streets of Texas.
He was terrified and raced throughout Copperas Cove, Texas, hoping that someone would discover him and aid him.
The Copperas Cove Animal Control shelter was informed, and happily, the employees were able to find the unfortunate puppy and bring him there.
This lovely canine was so grateful to be saved that he quickly embraced his new best mates, melting everyone’s heart at the animal control facility.
A staff member who was there spotted this emotional moment and immediately took a photograph.
This image rapidly went popular, with people sharing it and lobbying for Mr. Snufflufugus’ adoption.
“Victoria and I were in the play area with Mr. Snufflufugus when he decided he needed a hug,” said Tamara Hall, the animal control supervisor, to The Dodo.
They quickly discovered that Mr. Snufflufugus was a cuddle bug who adored being held. Everyone at the shelter fell in love with this sweet puppy right away.
“If you’re sitting on the floor or on the ground, he’ll climb into your lap or snuggle up next to you to get your attention.” “He looks up for attention with his irresistible sweet eyes,” Hall said.
Mr. Snufflufugus is pretty pleasant and enjoys napping as well as giving the best hugs.
Victoria said on Facebook, “He would rather sit on the couch and be a potato, a good potato who gets many head scratches and gets to sit on your chest and snore, and is told quite often what a good boy he is.”
Mr. Snufflufugus got rather popular when the Copperas Cove Police Department tweeted the lovely picture of him, and the animal control shelter received countless applications for this nice boi.
“Thank you ALL for expressing interest in Mr. Snufflufugus and for sharing our post!” they commented on Facebook. We just realized that he requires a single pet household with no young children. While he is quite loving, this might cause problems in a family if he grows possessive of the adult owner.”
Unfortunately, the little shelter did not have enough assets to handle everything, therefore Mr. Snufflufugus was taken to Pit Squad Rescue in Minnesota. Pit Squad will be able to interview all possible adopters and locate this adorable dog the ideal home.
He has to be treated for heartworm, which will unfortunately cost a lot of money, but they are pleased to offer this adorable pup a second shot.
