There is no question that this man adores these critters. Because senior dogs have a more difficult time finding permanent homes due to their elderly age, this is what he has devoted himself to the most.
“I grew up around a lot of animals,” Corey explained. My animal-loving parents almost always let me have everything I wanted as long as I could care for it.”
Steve had always had three or four dogs around when he moved into his own house, and after one of them died, his urge to help animals rose considerably.
“I was quite concerned about that passing,” Corey remarked. Even after a month or two had gone, I still felt terrible about it. I came to the conclusion that the only way to feel better would be for something great to happen that would not have happened if he hadn’t died.
After losing his best friend, this man was determined to give another dog a good life, so he went to a neighboring shelter and adopted the puppy with the least chance of finding a home.
Corey said “So I brought home a 12-year-old Chihuahua named Eeyore, who had a heart murmur and parts of his legs were in bad shape, and that was only the beginning of all creatures,”
Only eight of the 10 dogs Greig currently cares for are his own; the other two are from his sister and a roommate.
“You know, there are ten dogs, and most of them have different diets, so on a typical day, I wake up at 5 a.m. and cook breakfast for everyone,” Corey explained.
